The system is used to expand and enhance the available databases for metabolism information used in risk assessment. Using Metapath the experimental information on observed metabolites, biotransformations, and relative biotransformation rates can be systemically compiled into a searchable database. The database management can then provide a structure-based accessibility for identifying metabolites and transformations observed at specific testing environment, including the capability to identify specific proteins responsible for a biotransformation. The platform is accompanied with the biodegradation metabolism databases for more than 550 chemicals developed in LMC. These databases are constantly updated.
